A little bit about about Wyre Car and Van hire: Originally we started as Wyre Van Hire, over the years you’ve asked us if we have any cars available to rent. So in 2019 we’ve taken your advice and now alongside the many vans, we now hire cars. This is the obvious reason for changing our name to “Wyre Car & Van Hire”. Same number, same staff, just a great choice of cars from the Nissan Leaf 100% Electric to the larger Estate cars, and a few other in between!
We now have cars and vans available at our Blackpool car hire branch on Squires Gate Lane, or in Preesall on Head Dyke Lane near Poulton.
At either office you will receive the same friendly, helpful staff that we’ve always had.

The history of ‘Wyre Car & Van hire’
Originally we started as a storage facility in Preesall. The demand soon grew for our storage customers needing the use of a van! So in 2016 we purchased our 1st van mainly for our own customers. The demand soon grew to 2, 3, 4, 5 6 vans ans do on! Although we are manly known locally as Wyre Van Hire, we changed our name in 2019 to celebrate the addition of rental cars to our fleet. We now boast a modest fleet of both cars and vans. Including the new Nissan Leaf 100% Electric car. We where the 1st company in the area to offer electric cars for hire! And here we are today, offering local customers a local service.
